Based on increasing popularity of GPS vehicle tracking for personal applications (theft prevention, teenage drivers behavior monitoring, family road safety, etc.) GPS Connect will start offering soon a new GPS automatic vehicle locator (AVL) from the Starfinder family: Starfinder Lite. It's a brand new quad band ultra compact and affordable AVL solution for personal and business applications.
What makes it really attractive is its simplified connectivity via USB or RS-232 ports and very affordable price.
Compact size and affordable price however don't limit its AVL capabilities. The new device comes well equipped with powerful ARM7 CPU, quad band GSM/GPRS connectivity, SiRF III based 20 channel GPS, and 3-axial G-force sensor.
Right out of the box it features automatic position reporting by time and distance including speed and heading information, overspeed, G-shock and panic alerts, multiple geo-fence settings and automatic data logging in case of lost connectivity.
For advanced usage scenarios Starfinder Lite is equipped with the versatile input/output interface and can communicate to a mobile data terminal device.
We expect the Starfinder Lite to appear in GPS Connect catalog this month so stay tuned and subscribe to our blog for the latest news.
